A PTA is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance
student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also
a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what
is happening in their school. The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit
your child. In doing so, the ripple effect of your support will help our school
and all of our Rosemeade students!

- Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school. (As a member, you will receive informative emails that will keep you connected and informed!)
- Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well
as students. - Tap into a Network. Parenting is not easy - it helps to share ideas, concerns and experiences
with other parents and educators in the community. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. - Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTA, you gain valuable experiences. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause—your child and all
children in the community. - Speak Up. Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.
- Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs and social events – all vital to a school’s success.
- Be A Role Model. Set a good example for your kids by being involved yourself. By becoming
a PTA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

Have you considered joining
the Rosemeade PTA Board, but have
some questions? See our FAQs below!
Q: How much time commitment is involved?
A: Board members are expected to attend 4 board meetings in the fall semester and 2 in the Spring. PTA Board meetings usually happen in conjunction with regular PTA meetings and a school event (e.g. Robotics Night). Other time commitments are position-specific. For example, the Council Delegate position will require a small amount of time every other month, while the Fall Carnival Chair position requires more time at the beginning of the school year, with very little commitment once Fall Carnival is over. Please reach out to rosemeade.membership@gmail.com with specific position questions.
Q: What if I can’t attend every meeting?
A: If you are unable to attend, another board member may relay information to you or represent you in any information you need to share with other board members.
Q: What positions are available?
A: Elected officers can only serve 2 consecutive years in their position. Non-elected chairmen are encouraged to rotate to other positions after serving 2 years in their position. We have some board members this year that are graduating out and some that are rotating to another position. A committee has been chosen to appoint positions so that members can serve where they are best suited. If you have a skillset or passion, we’d like to know! If you have any questions about specific positions or to apply for PTA Board, please reach out to rosemeade.membership@gmail.com.
Q: How will I know what to do in my board position?
A: Each board position has a Plan of Work submitted each year to plan how funds will be used for the school year and a timeline of when actions should be completed. The Plan of Work from the previous year will help you know what to do in your position. The PTA Board is also a very close-knit group, and we are eager to jump in when others ask for help.
Ready to join? Great! Email rosemeade.membership@gmail.com and let us know
